Elizabeth Kruger

Colorado Mountain College
Associate Professor of Nursing
I have been with Colorado Mountain College adjunct since 2008 and full-time since 2012. As an adjunct, I was heavily involved in lab and clinical rotations. In addition, she co-wrote student-learning outcomes for a Complex Medical Surgical course. As full-time faculty, I continues to instruct in clinical while teaching didactic courses, for example Pharmacology, Complex Medical surgical, Leadership and simulation for both Pharmacology and Med/Surg. I have attended simulation conferences and was part of the nursing simulation task force. I bring diverse nursing experience and expertise across the lifespan to include critical care adult and pediatrics, trauma, leadership, medical-surgical, training and development, and emergency nursing adult and pediatrics. I have sat on the Evaluation and Effectiveness committee, Admissions and Appeals committee and has chaired the Curriculum committee for the past two years and intends on continuing for a third academic year. I have served on the SLO’s college wide committee in addition to the College-Wide Scholarship committee. It was with great pride that I was nominated for faculty of the Year and has been asked to speak at two of the last four ADN graduations. I enjoy being a liaison between CMC and our local Hospital, Vail Health. This relationship includes many clinical placements including Capstone experiences. I engage with the community and the college on such programs as Pre-Collegiate Week, which allows young students to be introduced to academic programs at CMC.
Personally, I am married with a seven year old boy, love living in the outdoors and all it has to offer all year round.
